Love that Lincoln Mark. There is a guy that lives down the street that's restoring one.

but you have to admit it's not bad... for a Caviler.
I was looking for cars that normally I find boring, or that I completely hate, like the Crapviler, that had been modified in a way that made them more appealing.
The Nissan is a joke.

They are utter pieces of shit. after working on a few of them. they suck

we do not share tastes in vehicles. But at least people are making their cars unique.

In 1991, the Saturn SC was a definite head to head competitor with the civic coupe, Integra (their benchmark) and lower model Celicas. It's a shame that those cars evolved while the Saturn just stagnated. The 96-02 SC was a good looking car IMO. But while 124 hp was good for 1991, they really needed to upgrade and update the powertrain to keep up.

Lowriders. Small wheels are a long standing tradition in lowriding, as it started out as just a cheap way to get your car lower. altho this pushed out stance was/is more common on Japanese lowriders.

that's basically the spirit of this post, that even the cars you might not think of as cool, can be made special by their owners.

Oh no argument there, my wife owns one I hate it with a passion. altho it has been a worry free car for her so there's that.

Yeah. Even when I don't like a car or it's modifications. I may make fun of it but I still respect the owner because they're willing to do something different from the mainstream.
I got made fun of by some people for painting my truck yellow. This was back in the early 00s when only the occasional sports car and the Xterra came in yellow. Some people flat out called me gay or a f*gg*t. I didn't care. I liked it and I wanted to be different. Within a year 2 other people painted their old trucks yellow too.

Actually the pushed out wheels started in So. California with the lowrider culture. The Japanese tuners adopted it, and debatably, perfected it.

You should see a before and after. The Mark VII(I?) stock is ugh-lee, this modified one is very, very nice.

I've seen this many times; just think it's retarded. But whatever - room for everybody under the tent.

Red line actually came out a year before the cobalt ss. I was working for On*Star at the time of the cobalt release and nobody was really excited about it.
From 2004 to about 2008 they were putting SS badges on everything. I had access to the GM internal intelligence site and they actually planned an Uplander SS and Equinox SS. the Equinox became the sport with the 3.6 DI engine with like 300 hp or so. The Uplander SS never happened. They were also planning a new small displacement overhead cam di v8 for front wheel drive configurations. It was to be about 4.7 liters and ~400 hp. First applications were going to be the Acadia Denali, Enclave Ultra, and Traverse SS.

I'm very glad that Uplander SS didn't happen. I just wish the Uplander hadn't happened at all.
